our test cars and has about 5 years use. |

We used a wire wheel on a die grinder
to remove the surface rust and old grease. |
Since this was an older model, the link-pin
bushing protruded out beyond the king-pin
surface as seen in fig. 3. You can grind it off
or remove the bushing. Here we are pushing
out the bushing with a punch. |

There will usually be a small lip on the top C-
clip grove and maybe some nicks around
the bushing hole. |
Use a file to remove the lip and any other
imperfections so the king- pin will slide out of
of the spindle housing. |
